Obtain the name and address of the other driver, and any details of the accident and contact information of potential witnesses.

Do not discuss any of the details of an accident with anyone other than an investigating officer, and make no admission of fault or offer to make any payments.

Contact JIB as soon as possible to report the accident. JIB will submit the accident claim for you with any information you have collected and a follow up call will be made to you directly by the insurance company to go over the next steps in the process.

In this age of smart phones and cameras do not hesitate to take pictures. Not only of any damages insured but also of the information of the other driver. Taking a picture of their license and insurance information is an easier way to insure you have the information needed.
